Okay so I know a lot of people complain about txttalk but most of the complains are about written txttalk. I am talking about actual talking.
Just a few minutes ago an old woman (my neighbor) asked me: "kumusta na u?" afew days ago i heard someone saying "parating na me, wait nalang u." and both of these people are over 50. I don't get it. I mean do they think that they would seem a lot younger by talking like that? I mean even teenagers don't talk like that.
I heard my mom using text talk a couple of days ago. I told her how silly she sounded and snapped at me.
Oh well. guess i just have to endure.
On another note:
I started reading "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" i only read it because i was intrigued after I watched the movie, and i cant help comparing it to Harry Potter. I mead 3 friends 1 of them a very smart girl who likes to read going on adventures, getting chased by monster and forbidden names and all that stuff . but alas I love Greek myths even with a modern twist.
The books (at least those i read {I am in the middle of the second book}) are worth reading. A perfect balance of adventure, humor. Blending the modern and the ancient perfectly. I certainly recommend it (FORGET ABOUT THE MOVIE).
